Week of Service

Tarleton community helping on a service project

Service is one of Tarleton’s core values and Week of Service is dedicated to promoting service and giving back to our community. Week of Service provides opportunities for Tarleton Texans to engage in the community through the annual Round Up work day, support the university and fellow students through the Day of Giving, and connect knowledge learned in the classroom to the service experience on Service Day. Inspirational: Meet Tarleton Police Officer Scott Daily

“There are three things I learned in life that I still do. One: be determined. Two: dedicated. Three: committed. Those are the three things I live by. If the glass is half empty, fill it up.” Officer Scott Daily, a Tarleton State University police officer, happens to be deaf, but doesn’t let his limitations get in the way of life. Officer Daily was recently interviewed by WFAA Dallas. Read more about Officer Daily’s inspiring story and watch his interview here.
